Living with teenagers can be challenging and some parents may find it hard to adapt to changes in their child's behaviour as they grow up - knowing how to talk to your teen is important skills to have as a parent.
Throughout the course you will improve your communication skills, learn to solve problems and find new ways to handle conflict.
Knowing how to talk to your teen can be tough. How can you talk seriously with them about the issues affecting them without them getting upset or angry? How can you make sure your conversation is effective and will really change things?
As your young person matures, getting the balance right between keeping them safe and allowing them some independence and to make their own mistakes can be challenging part of being a parent.
Teens answering back or arguing is a natural part of them growing up, but when the arguments start to cause you a lot of concern or distress it’s time to find a way to talk.
Most families have heated arguments from time to time, especially as your children grow into young adults and start to assert themselves. Families won’t always get on all of the time.
